A REALTOR® is a member of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION of REALTORS® and subscribes to its strict Code of Ethics.Designations
To earn a designation, a REALTOR® a real estate agent has taken coursework and demonstrated specific skills, performance and knowledge in a particular area of the real estate industry.
In addition to real estate training, I am a graduate of the Real Estate Institute(GRI) and also achieved my ePro designation and have begun work on my Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation. I am a recipient of the Henry Aydt Scholarship for exceptional standards and ethic in the field of real estate.
The Code establishes time-honored and baseline principles that come from the collective experiences of REALTORS® since the Code of Ethics was first established in 1913. Those principles can be loosely defined as:
Loyalty to clients;
Fiduciary (legal) duty to clients;
Cooperation with competitors;
Truthfulness in statements and advertising;
and non-interference in exclusive relationships that other REALTORS® have with their clients.
Active in real estate for the last 12 years, I am experienced in land development and subdivision planning and implementation. In conjuction with development, I have formed my own building company, having built more than $5.5M dollars in homes, both custom and speculative. I believe this gives me a unique perspective in the home buying and selling process that adds to the information I am able to provide for my clients. As a woman in the building industry I am able to help my clients to better understand building standards, green building and the latest techniques, decor and staging for existing and new homes.
Originally from the mid Missouri area and educated at Southwest Missouri University, the University of Missouri and Kansas University, my area of study was concentrated in languages and international finance. Married, my family time is as important to me it is to my clients. My community is equally important and I am active in our local real estate board, Zonta for woman professionals, Hospital Auxiliary Board President Elect, Appointment to the Advisory Board for County Planning, along with other school and community charitable organizations and boards.
